The Thames Tideway Tunnel, London’s £4.5 billion “super sewer”, is one of the UK’s largest and most ambitious infrastructure projects. Spanning 25 kilometres beneath the River Thames, its purpose is to intercept combined sewer overflows and dramatically reduce pollution entering the river.
In pursuit of a major £135m contract with the Royal Navy for its Ancilia Countermeasures solution, SEA – a Cohort plc company – engaged Xacom as a specialist partner for project management and schedule risk analysis.
As part of Lithuania’s accession to the European Union, the country agreed to decommission INPP’s remaining reactors. Decommissioning activities began in 2004 and are scheduled for completion by 2038 at an estimated cost of €3.4bn, after which the site will be restored for brownfield use.
